Hello and welcome to my blog! My name is Jen and I am completely in love with food and fitness. I created this blog as a way to share my passion for delicious and nutritious eats and to share workouts and fitness tips. I have been dabbling in the kitchen since I was a kid, cooking up meatballs  and calzones with my Dad, which we still often do together.

As I have grown older, my cooking style has evolved to be mainly clean dishes with lots of protein, veggies, and more importantly, flavor! My love of fitness began when I was a kid. I always an athlete growing up and played softball in college, where I majored in Exercise Physiology. I then went on to earn a master’s degree in Exercise Physiology, followed by a Ph.D. in Applied Physiology. Currently, I am a postdoctoral research fellow in Boston, Massachusetts where my research is focused mainly on vascular aging and blood pressure control. For more information about what I do on a daily basis, check out a recent interview I did here. I am very passionate about health and living well, which is why you will find fun and interesting articles discussing exercise and fitness on here in addition to nutritious recipes and healthy living. My own personal fitnes routine consists of CrossFit, some pilates, and any type of outdoor activity I can do when the weather permits!
